Amenity Forum – We are a member of the Amenity Forum, an independent body to bring together professional organisations with an involvement in the amenity horticulture sector. This is a very diverse industry responsible for the landscape management of urban areas, highways and rail network, sports grounds, parks, industrial and utility sites. To establish and maintain these areas to a high standard the sector requires access to pesticides, efficient equipment, trained and qualified staff.
We support the key objectives of the Amenity Forum to coordinate and encourage achievement of “Best Practice” objectives in amenity pesticide use and encourage the establishment of qualifications, training and CPD activity, specifically for the amenity sector.

Vicki Hughes – Technical Manager (BASIS)
Vicki has extensive industry experience working as an Operations Manager, Environmental Manager and BASIS Advisor in the Amenity Sector. Prior to joining Spray CDA Vicki spent over 10 years managing a range of weed control contracts for amenity, industrial and utilities customers. During her career Vicki has amassed a range of experience and knowledge in crop protection, agricultural food technology and supply chain processes.
Vicki holds a BSc (Hons) in Agriculture with Land and Farm Management, BASIS Certificate in Crop Protection, a NEBOSH Certificate in Environmental Management and is a member of the MBPR. She is also a trainer and assessor in City & Guilds NPTC Safe Use of Pesticides and holds PA1, PA6AW and PA11A Certificates.
John Riggall – Technical Sales (BASIS)
John has over 25 years of experience working with local authority, amenity and landscape industry weed control professionals. John has been involved in all aspects of weed control solutions involving ULV, CDA & PKS systems. John’s role is to ensure clients have custom built cost effective weed control application systems and herbicides. John has an NCH and RHS Horticulture Certificate and is also a holder of the BASIS certificate and MBPR in Amenity Horticulture.
Paul Robinson – Technical Sales (BASIS)
Paul has over 30 years experience and qualifications working within the amenity and horticulture industries. Paul holds a BASIS certificate (MBPR) in amenity horticulture, RHS certificate, National Certificate in Horticulture (NCH) and a NTC in Turf Culture. During his career Paul has managed and implemented weed control programmes for local authorities and been responsible for training council staff in best practice pesticide application (PA1 and PA6). Paul has extensive experience in offering advice and expertise on all aspects of weed control to contractors and local authorities.
James Norton – Technical Sales
James has been spraying for 20 years in both the agricultural and horticultural sector and possesses a PA1, PA6 and PA2. He holds a Higher National Diploma and National Diploma in Agriculture and NVQ in amenity sports turf. Before becoming a member of the technical sales team, was head of sports turf for a local authority and responsible for implementing the weed control of all the authorities’ sports facilities. James has three years experience of working with the Mankar, Riverlynx and Easyspray PKS systems.
Paul Hughes – Build & Service Technician
Paul Hughes provides technical engineering support for the Spray CDA low volume systems. As a highly skilled welder and metal fabricator, Paul is engaged in the manufacture and servicing of our full range our Spray CDA equipment, specifically;
CDA and ULV custom built ATV’s and Utility Vehicles
Having worked as an NPTC qualified contract sprayer for many years, Paul has a wealth of knowledge and understanding of spray systems. In addition Paul is an NSTS Examiner and holds NPTC sprayer certification for PA1, PA6, PA2 and PA5.
