Amenity Forum – 2013 Annual Conference

The Amenity Forum will hold its annual one day conference on Thursday 17th October 2013 at the Leicester City Football Club, King Power Stadium, Filbert Street, Leicester, LE2 7FL.

The event will focus on the practical implications of recent national policy changes and initiatives, and the technical challenges facing the amenity sector, such as:

  • The control of tree disease;
  • Invasive weeds;
  • Sprayer testing;
  • Specifying weed and pest control programmes in a local authority;
  • Dealing with weed and pest control in sensitive areas, especially water;
  • Managing Leicester City Football Ground;
  • Meeting the needs of golf greenkeepers.

The programme includes presentations and panel discussion on key policy issues including: the Sustainable Use Directive and the pesticides National Action Plan; the Water Framework Directive and urban diffuse pollution, and an industry view on policy changes. Practical demonstrations and exhibition stands will run during the day.

The cost of attendance for the full day including a buffet lunch is £45 per delegate, with discount for Amenity Forum members.
